Honey Price Per Kilogram: Comparing 250g, 500g and 1kg Packs
Learn a simple unit-price method for comparing different honey jar sizes in Pakistan, including when prices have not yet been verified.
Calculate the unit rate
For a confirmed 250g jar price, multiply that price by four to estimate the equivalent cost of one kilogram. For a confirmed 500g jar price, multiply by two. For a 1kg jar, the listed price is already the per-kilogram amount.
For example only, if a 250g jar costs Rs. 1,000, its unit rate is Rs. 4,000 per kilogram. This is a mathematical illustration, not a SweeTrade price quote.
Compare the same honey variety
Do not compare a Robinia jar with a Palosa jar and call the price difference a volume discount: product varieties are distinct. First compare variants of the same item, then note any actual packaging or label differences.
Check how the seller describes a pack and whether its weight excludes packaging. Do not assume all jars are filled or labelled identically.
Add the real delivery cost
A smaller jar can have a lower upfront item price yet be more expensive after delivery. Compare the final confirmed item amount plus the shipping fee for your Pakistan address.
If any product price is provisional, a per-kilogram calculation using it is also provisional. Confirm rates with the shop before making a purchase decision.
